Registration in the Platon System
and equipment of on-board unit

Special security measures have been established in the Russian Federation during the 2018 FIFA World Cup period. An entrance to the cities hosting World Cup 2018 available only for foreign buses equipped with the satellite navigation equipment (on-board units) of Electronic Toll Collection system “Platon”. Bus owners have to register on the Transport Directorate 2018 website bus.transport2018.com and apply for the bus entry into the host cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. To get an entry appropriate Notification including planned route must be sent not later than three hours prior to planned entry date and time into the territory of the host city

Register the Bus Owner and a Bus in Service office center or on the site platon.ru

  IMPORTANT!

  1. Translate documents in advance into Russian language!
  Information and documents are submitted in the electronic form or in paper form with translation into Russian, the accuracy of which is certified in the order established by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Notarization of translation is not required, it is enough to assure the translation by the owner of the vehicle or his authorized person.

  2. Your authorized person needs a power of attorney!
  If the authorized person of the bus owner applies for entry to the agreement for receiving the on-board unit, in addition to the original documents, he must provide a power of attorney. You may download attorney templates on our website in advance – here

  Owner of the bus is a Private Individual/Physical Individual person:

  • First name, Last name, Paternal name (if available), telephone number, e-mail address
  • An identification document Of Owner
  • Certificate of the registration of the vehicle

  Owner of the bus is a Legal Entity (company):

  • Company name, registration number, telephone number, e-mail address
  • Certificate of state registration of a Legal Entity (company)/ an extract from the register of the legal entities of an appropriate country of origin or any equal legal document that appropriate the legal status of the company
  • Certificate of registration of the vehicle

Make a secure deposit payment for On-board unit

• How to make secure deposit payment to receive the on-board unit of the “Platon” system

  The amount of secure deposit payment is RUB 6822.98 for each on-board unit.

  There are three ways to make a secure deposit payment for On-board unit:

  1) Payment by credit card at the Platon service center after the signing of the agreement on the provision of OBU;
  2) Payment in cash at QIWI kiosks with the provision of a confirmation receipt;
  3) Bank transfer to the Platon operator’s account. Bank transfer is possible after a successful pre-registration on the website platon.ru. Issuance of the OBU is possible only after the fact that payment is successfully received in full amount by Platon’s operator.

  It is convenient to make payment by a credit card at the Operator’s office or through the QIWI kiosks by cash. Issuance of an OBU in these cases is carried out immediately after payment.

  A payment by bank transfer must been provided in advance before the visit to Platon service office to get an OBU. Please be advised that it may take 3-7 days to get a payment.

• How to return the on-board unit and security payment while leaving territory of the Russian Federation

  IMPORTANT!

  To return security deposit, you need to return an on-board unit in full capability without damages and appropriate complement (be sure to keep the passport of the on-board unit, fasteners and electric wires with adapters).

  In order to return security payment you should visit any Platon’s service centers and sign an appropriate application (indicate your payment details for bank transfer) and return the on-board unit.
