Leading companies of the transport industry of Russia has signed the Agreement to establish the “Digital transportation and logistics” association. The following companies participated in the signing ceremony – JCS “Russian Railways”, “The State Company Russian Highways”, PJSC “Aeroflot”, “RT-Invest Transport Systems” LLC, FSUE “ZachitaInfo Trans”, «Glosav» and «Delovye Linii». Potentially largest companies of the industry are planning to join the Association. The Minister of transportation of the Russian Federation Mr Evgeny Ditrikh also took part in the ceremony.
“DTL” will be become the center of competence for the “Digital transportation and logistics” vertical presented by the Ministry of Transportation under the “Digital Economy” Programme. The Ministry’s proposal has been approved by the Council for digital transformation of “Digital Economy” ANCO. One of the key tasks of “DTL” is the establishment and development of the united multimodal digital and logistics domain on the territory of Russia based on the native solutions and software.
«Utilization of IT-systems developed by the leaders of the industry and its combination on the basisi of digital platform for the transportation industry will provide rapid development of digitization in the field of transportation and logistics. These platform solutions will enable offering unique services for transport users, will increase its safety, comfort and availability. This is a vast task interconnected with the amendment of legal and technical regulations, establishment of cross-cutting technologies and provision of information security. We support this business initiative to establish the Association», – mentioned Evgeny Ditrikh.
Push apart systems become less of an issue. The time of ecosystems and united platforms has come, said Mr Anton Zamkov, the CEO of “RT-Invest Transport Systems” LLC. According to him nowadays the industry is equipped with extensive infrastructure based on which unified digital platform should be formed.
«The key task of this platform is to provide dramatic cost decrease for business and to optimize the government regulations of logistics. Based on the “big data” collected it is necessary to establish unified confident domain which may provide the establishment of seamless transportation corridors, full-fledged workflow and users access to the service in a “single window” format », – Zamkov elaborated.
According to Mr Evgeny Charkin, CIO of “Russian Railways, establishment of new and utilization of current best practices will furnish the explosive growth for the Russian transportation industry digitalization.
«We have launched cargo services marketplace. Integration with automotive industry will be launched to gain multimodal functionality. We are also planning to launch value added services such as warehouse facilities, financial services and insurance. Crucially is what we are implementing will become the core of transportation and logistics platform of Russia overall. It is important that we will be integrated into the current existing infrastructures of “Platon” and GLONASS », – Charkin added.
